Who we are
Help the aged Uganda (Ha-Uganda) is a not for profit organization that was founded in 2010 in Kamuli District to create a broad- based community body for older persons to come together in their diversity in pursuit of a collective agenda of engagement with government and other development actors. In 2012, the organization acquired a legal status as a fully registered organization and expanded operations to reach more beneficiaries in Luuka and Iganga district. Help the Aged Uganda is an inclusive community platform for older persons. It creates space for older men and women to practice, think, work and strategize on matters of mutual interest. The organization was formed to create a abroad-based community body for older persons to come together in their diversity in pursuit of a collective agenda of engagement with government and other development actors.
Mission
To build and strengthen positive cultural values that foster care, love, positive attitudes, moral, physical and financial support to the older persons to reduce poverty and discrimination in later life.

Our Objectives
To mitigate neglect, Isolation, Poverty, deplorable living conditions and premature deaths among older persons
To provide psycho-social support including counseling services and spiritual building to lessen old age stress, Amnesia, depression, create hope, motivation and enhance the realization of complete later life joy for longevity.
To provide basic household needs for older persons like clothing, food supply, and accommodation facilities especially for those impaired by old age related diseases.
To provide a platform for low- income families to encourage each other, work together and be mutually accountable to one another as they nurture their children.
To empower teenage, child mothers, elder care givers, out-of-school orphans and the at-risk children through vocation skills training, employment, business opportunities, up grading, savings and other self-reliant programs as they increase their social capital.
