Despite efforts by the Government to improve peace and maintain stability over the many years, there are still an estimated 3.5 Million Orphaned children in the face of non-supportive, discriminative and stigmatizing low- income families and society.
This has made the would-be potential citizens grow up with No Hope, No Talent, and No Future. Majority of them live in extreme poverty, leaving them susceptible to life threats like teenage pregnancies, forced, child marriages, defilement, HIV/AIDS, forced child labour among others.

GIRLS NOT BRIDES
With our well pronounced emphasis on “Every child belongs to a family” We invest in strengthening families by working with the local community and leadership to identify orphans and impoverished children at risk of neglect. Ensuring that children grow up in safe families thus eliminating the need for orphanage construction. We work to increase access to quality care for the marginalized children, youth led families, to break the cycle of poverty for tomorrow‟s generation. While equipping them with the most desired tools to thrive socially, academically and spiritually.

The orphan crisis in Uganda. Life in Uganda is extremely difficult for orphaned children as is in many other African Countries. This plight is exacerbated by extreme poverty, illiteracy, malaria, HIV/AIDS as may grapple to overcome the effects of Lord’s Resistance Army war.
Problem
With a high fertility rate of 5.9 children per woman child marriage of age 14-16 and below remains significantly very high.
Child marriage remains a very common vice in the remote Uganda despite efforts by government to combat it.
As many as three in ten remote Ugandan girls bear their first child before 18 years, while more than a third gruesomely drop from school pre-maturely for marriage before their 18th legal age.
The negative impact of child marriage, forced marriage, teenage pregnancy, early child bearing and low education attainment of these remote Ugandan orphaned least privileged children has not only rooted family into the cycle of poverty. But has also exacerbated disease, famine, increased rate of at-risk family and children that are susceptible to neglect and or abandonment.
The high rate of child labour especially on sugar cane farms lures many from school especially the orphaned boy child to provide for their incapable, incompetent teenage mothers and widowed elderly care givers.
This community suffers the agony of all these atrocities because of its being remote with negative traditional sentiments on girl child education, absence of community led initiatives, community based organization or even functioning NGOs.
